Monday at 6:30 pm
Conductor Emeritus Jeffrey Kahane returns for "American Dreams," which begins with An American in Paris, Gershwin's popular, jazzy tone poem. In Elena Urioste’s embrace, Barber’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra unfolds with deep sweetness and serenity before building to a breathless climax of fiendish virtuosity. Copland’s Symphony No. 3 is a hymn of hope, celebrating the universal journey to solace and renewal after a time of darkness—with a concluding triumphant brass fanfare that is an unabashed exaltation of our common humanity.
All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
All concert programs, artists, dates and prices are subject to change.
Tickets are non-refundable.
